Adulting Skills 101 & 102
Course 101:
Curriculum:
- Critical thinking, so they can evaluate new information
- Career options after high school - college, trade school, military, work, entrepreneurship Career discussion. Students may not be prepared to make a career choice at this point in their lives, but we intend to get them thinking about some of their options
- How to excel in any job
- Household maintenance - clean, ironing and other household tasks
- Media literacy, so they can make objective decisions about advertisements etc.
- Time Management and Organization
- Methods of dealing with stress
- Health and Exercise

June 6-10, M-F 1:30PM - 4:30PM
Course 102:
Curriculum:
- Emotional intelligence so they can understand themselves and others, and make wise choices in life. (Developed with input from a psychiatrist.)
- Personal finance and financial literacy - how to budget, use credit, use insurance etc
- Romance - How to choose a compatible life partner; how to maintain a relationship; how to avoid abusive relationships
- Leadership
- Communication and Etiquette
- Simple Meal Preparation
- Car and Bike Maintenance

All Courses:
Many of these subjects have no right or wrong answer; we will be introducing ideas and will be discussing them with the students, getting them to at least start thinking about them as a first step to coming to their own conclusions.
We strongly encourage students to register for both classes, as they both teach vital skills. You can register for both on the same form, and there is a discount for doing so.

Powerpoint based lectures, with plenty of classroom discussion and group projects

$200 for each course
Refunds:
- Up to 7 days before class starts: Full Refund
- After this period: No Refund
- Any classes that are missed can be made up the next time the course is offered
- If the class is cancelled by LSA the fee for that class will be refunded.
Discounts:
- $10 discount for customers signing up before May 6
- $10 discount if a sibling has enrolled
- $20 discount if student signs up for both courses 101 and 102
